About

Relational therapy on your terms

Anna King, PhD, LCSW, PMH-C (she/her) is a licensed clinical social worker, certified perinatal mental health specialist, and research psychologist. She specializes in supporting individuals navigating pregnancy, the postpartum period, grief, identity exploration, and major life transitions. Her work is grounded in extensive training in perinatal mental health, trauma-informed care, and somatic healing, and is guided by a deep awareness of the social, cultural, and structural contexts that shape emotional well-being. Her therapeutic approach is integrative, relational, and collaborative. Drawing from somatic psychology, attachment theory, and transpersonal perspectives, she incorporates practices such as mindfulness, breathwork, visualization, movement, and sensation tracking. These approaches support clients in cultivating self-awareness, emotional regulation, and a deeper sense of embodied insight. Dr. Anna is committed to practicing as an anti-oppressive, sex-positive, kink-aware, queer and trans-affirming therapist. She actively engages in ongoing education to deepen her learning in these areas. She strives to create a therapeutic space where clients feel seen, respected, and supported in the fullness of their identities, with room to explore both the known and undiscovered parts of themselves. As a Black, bi-racial, queer, highly sensitive person living with an invisible chronic illness, and as a parent and survivor of postpartum depression and anxiety, Dr. Anna brings both professional and lived experience to her work. She is deeply passionate about supporting others in accessing their most authentic and joyful ways of being.
